Four rooms in a 1680 canal house, one long table in the kitchen and two hosts who still bake the bread themselves on Sundays.
Book here and pay 10 percent less than on the big sites. We answer within the hour, 08:00 to 22:00.

Everything on the table came from within six kilometres.
Except the coffee. We tried. Breakfast is included in every room rate, served at the kitchen table or on a tray in bed for €8.

The stairs get steeper the higher you go. That is a canal house rule, not ours. The attic is worth it.

we live downstairs.
Marit cooks, Joost fixes things and knows every bar in town that does not have a television. We will tell you where to eat, lend you bikes and leave you alone if that is what you came for.
Arriving late? There is a key safe by the door and a code in your confirmation email. We wait up until 23:00 anyway.

Is breakfast really included?
Always, in every rate. If you skip it we will not charge less, but we will pack you a sandwich.
Can we book the whole house?
Yes, all four rooms for up to nine people, from two nights. Ask us for the group rate.
Do you take bookings for one night?
Sunday to Thursday, yes. Weekends are two nights minimum from April to October.
What if we need to cancel?
Free until seven days before arrival. After that we charge the first night, unless we can rebook the room.
Is it quiet?
The canal is quiet after ten. The church bells ring at eight in the morning, which is breakfast time anyway.
