Book by the moon
the darker the night, the more you see.
Around the new moon you can count two thousand stars from your deck. At full moon you can read a book by it, which is lovely too, just different.

Season
Tents April to October. The barn cabin and the lookout all year.
Check in
15:00 to 19:00. Arriving later, call and we leave a lantern on.
Check out
11:00. Leave the stove cold and the ashes in the bucket.
Parking
Free at the farm. 300 m on a sandy path, we have handcarts.
Accessibility
The barn cabin is step-free with a roll-in shower. Tents have three steps up.
Dogs
Welcome in two safari tents, €15 a night. On a lead, there are deer.
Children
From any age. Cots free, bunks from six.

Heideweg 7, 9418 Wijster, Drenthe. Turn right at the sheep fold, no streetlights from there.
still wondering
What if it is cloudy?
Then it is a cosy night in a tent with a stove. If the forecast is solid cloud for your whole stay, you can move your dates for free up to 48 hours before.
Is it cold at night?
In April and October it can drop to 3°. The stove heats a tent to 20° in half an hour, and there are hot water bottles.
Can we cook?
On the fire pit or in the shared kitchen in the barn. The barn cabin has its own kitchen.
Is there a minimum stay?
Two nights on weekends and around the new moon, one night midweek.
